GreenBotAI- Frugal and Adaptive AI for Flexible Industrial Robotics

A Franco-German collaboration to develop industrial robotics with sustainable AI solutions and strengthen supply chain resilience.

A Franco-German collaboration focuses on developing industrial robotics with sustainable AI solutions and strengthening supply chain resilience. The GreenBotAI project is one of five initiatives selected under the “Franco-German Innovation Projects on Artificial Intelligence Technologies for Risk Prevention, Crisis Management, and Resilience,” jointly supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the French Ministère de l'Économie, des Finances et de la Souveraineté industrielle et numérique. The goal of these funded projects is to enhance crisis resilience using AI, develop sustainable solutions, detect potential epidemics early, and make industries more robust against supply chain disruptions. This collaboration is rooted in the Aachen Treaty (2019), which committed Germany and France to intensify their cooperation in artificial intelligence. In February 2021, the two countries issued a joint funding call for research and development projects, and the five winning initiatives are now being supported with a total funding of €17.9 million.

Fair: HANNOVER MESSE

By Martin Naumann on April 15, 2024

Live Demonstration of our latest results at the HANNOVER MESSE HANNOVER MESSE is the most important international platform and hot spot for industrial transformation - with excellent innovations or unusual products. At the Hannover Messe, the project partners demonstrate what they have achieved as yet. An individual image taken in 2D with industrial camera technology (“One-Shot Demonstration”) of the component and little computing power are sufficient for the robot to pick up, inspect, and position this component as desired.
